ASX: AM7 · Five-year financial review

(ASX: AM7) Arcadia Minerals Financial Review - FY2021~25

Arcadia’s five-year record ends with substantial accounting assets but very little cash. Lower FY2025 expenditure narrowed the loss, while the Swanson funding agreement was terminated and Bitterwasser brine results lost management’s confidence. Development expectations must be read separately from completed financing and actual production.

Australian dollars · June year-end · FY2021 is 7 October 2020-30 June 2021, with subsidiaries acquired late in the period · Editorial review: 2026-09-28 · MII Research

Five years in context

The Guernsey-incorporated parent assembled Namibian exploration interests near the end of FY2021. The incorporation-period results therefore contain much less operating history than the following full years.

Swanson’s feasibility work and proposed construction funding were milestones, not evidence of actual cash-generating production. The latest extraction records termination of the funding agreement while Arcadia retained its 80% interest.

Events behind the numbers

FY2021

Listing and portfolio acquisition

The first report covers incorporation through June. Swanson/Kum-Kum, Karibib and Bitterwasser interests were acquired on 17 June.

FY2022

Drilling and resource definition

Swanson drilling supported an updated resource; Bitterwasser clay exploration and the initial option acquisition progressed.

FY2023

Feasibility and conditional construction funding

Swanson’s DFS was completed and Hebei’s subscription arrangement was announced. The proposed interest depended on successful plant construction and commissioning.

FY2024

Construction work and Bitterwasser acquisition

Swanson access and design work progressed. BME acquired the remaining Bitterwasser Lithium Exploration shares, changing the consolidation perimeter.

FY2025

Funding agreement terminated

Hebei’s arrangement ended in January. Conflicting brine laboratory results led management to shift focus away from Bitterwasser, while liquidity became severely constrained.

FINANCIAL REVIEW / 01

Cash fell despite a lower annual spending rate

FY2025 financing consisted of a small share subscription and related-party advances. The restricted-deposit release also supported cash, but year-end liquidity remained minimal. These receipts do not establish a self-funding operation.

FINANCIAL REVIEW / 02

Asset-backed equity and spendable cash tell different stories

Current liabilities exceeded current assets in FY2025 despite positive total equity. The auditor’s going-concern uncertainty is therefore central to the financial reading, not cancelled out by the exploration asset base.

Consolidated equity is not the larger equity attributable only to owners: non-controlling interests are negative.

A positive asset-backed equity balance does not remove a cash-funding requirement. The FY2025 auditor highlighted material going-concern uncertainty.

FINANCIAL REVIEW / 03

The lower loss came with lower exploration activity

Exploration expense fell and unused Hebei funds were released into other income. The contractual release is an accounting effect of the terminated arrangement, not an additional new cash receipt to add to the cash-flow statement.

FINANCIAL REVIEW / 04

Year-end cash support was small and partly non-recurring

The subsequent A$150,000 loan draw belongs after June 2025. It may support later working capital, but cannot be inserted into the annual cash balance or treated as completed mine-construction funding.

Reading the figures

  • Only the frozen annual extraction packet was used. No raw reports, financial web research, fresh DB lookup or MiniMax drafting. This is published and primary-author reviewed only.
  • FY2021 is a shorter period and reflects subsidiary acquisition on 17 June; the series is not uniformly twelve months of the same operating perimeter.
  • Forecast Swanson start dates and the terminated Hebei funding expectation are not reported production or secured current financing. BME owns BLE, but BME itself is only 50%-owned by Arcadia; no 100% Arcadia ownership is inferred.
  • Bitterwasser historical resource estimates are not FY2025 additions: the latest report says no resource updates. Brine sample reliability concerns are preserved; no disputed grade is charted.
  • FY2025 detailed exploration asset carrying value is absent from the packet. That is an extraction limit, not an assertion that the issuer omitted it.
