Chariot Resources Ltd (ASX: CC9) - Five-Year Financial Review FY2021-FY2025

An evidence-led review of Chariot’s December year-end results. Financial statement amounts are Australian dollars in units, except per-share figures and the separately labelled lithium Resource snapshot. FY2021 is a parent-only comparison; the group statements begin in FY2022.

Financial years ended 31 December 2021–2025; FY2021 is parent-only and FY2022–FY2025 are consolidated. · Editorial review: 2026-09-24 · MII Research

Reading the tables: 0 (nil) is a supported zero. Other text distinguishes an amount included in another line, a non-applicable item, a separately unavailable component and an unresolved value. These are not interchangeable. Period-specific detail is labelled; complete year-by-year detail remains available.

Five years in context

Chariot moved from a parent-only pre-IPO explorer to a consolidated ASX-listed group in October 2023. The FY2023 asset and cash expansion coincided with the listing and FMSL combination, while the FY2024 result includes a $22.1 million exploration impairment and Mustang deconsolidation. These events change the scope behind the year-to-year figures.

The group remains exploration-stage. FY2025 shows a smaller statutory loss than FY2024, but operating cash outflow continued and year-end current borrowings reached $2.06 million. The auditor again identified a material uncertainty related to going concern, dependent on further funding.

Events behind the numbers

FY2021

Pre-IPO financing

The company raised seed capital, increased its FMSL investment and completed a 2.5-for-1 share consolidation in November.

FY2022

US project expansion

Panther Lithium joined the group structure in April; its Black Mountain option agreement followed in July.

FY2023

ASX listing and FMSL

Chariot listed on 27 October after a $9 million IPO and held a 79.4% beneficial interest in FMSL at year-end.

FY2024

Impairment and deconsolidation

The annual result included a $22.1 million exploration impairment and a $5.12 million gain on deconsolidating Mustang.

FY2025

New finance and identity

The group added a working-capital facility and a secured loan, then adopted the Chariot Resources name in December.

FINANCIAL REVIEW / 01

Profit or loss and ownership attribution

The FY2024 loss is dominated by the exploration impairment. FY2025 finance costs rise with new funding arrangements; the FY2021 parent-only column should be read as a different reporting perimeter.

The comprehensive-loss table follows the profit-or-loss and OCI statements: $(27,540,271) in FY2024 and $(5,867,564) in FY2025. The statement of changes in equity instead prints $(27,588,302) and $(5,835,878). The absolute differences are $48,031 and $31,686 respectively; their basis is unresolved, so neither source-reported total has been adjusted.

Current assets contracted after the FY2023 listing year and were below current liabilities at the last two balance dates. The FY2023 current figures include assets and liabilities held for distribution, making the liquidity mix different from later years.

Cash movements and funding

Operating cash remained negative in every year. The FY2025 cash balance rose modestly because financing inflows exceeded operating and investing outflows, with both share proceeds and borrowings contributing.

The combined equity-proceeds row is an alternative view of the share and option component rows, not an additional cash inflow. FY2023 and FY2024 add same-statement share and option receipts; FY2021, FY2022 and FY2025 retain their reported unsplit share-proceeds line. Option amounts for those unsplit years are not inferred. FY2021 is parent-only. AUD presentation follows the issuer-policy qualification in the report limitations despite inconsistent packet currency metadata.

FINANCIAL REVIEW / 05

Capitalised exploration and mineral resource

The exploration asset rose sharply when FMSL entered the consolidated group in 2023, then fell with the FY2024 impairment. Additions in the roll-forward are accrual-basis asset movements; they are distinct from cash payments in the cash flow section.

The FY2021 parent-only balance sheet reports nil capitalised exploration; the FY2022 closing balance is disclosed, but opening and individual movement lines were not resolved in the selected extraction. The FY2023 consolidation recognition and FY2024 impairment are separate from cash investing flows.

The A$22,440,593 FMSL consolidation recognition is specific to FY2023; other non-comparative years are not applicable to that transaction. Other unresolved opening/component movements remain not separately presented.

Reading the figures

  • FY2021 is parent-only while FY2022-FY2025 are consolidated; those amounts are not a constant-perimeter series.
  • The FY2025 EPS note labels total loss $5,305,023 as the EPS numerator, while the reported 2.91 cents and 177,212,003 weighted-average shares align with the parent-attributable $5,153,215; this source inconsistency is unresolved.
  • The FY2024 and FY2025 profit-or-loss/OCI total-comprehensive rows differ from the statement-of-changes-in-equity rows by $48,031 and $31,686 respectively. The report displays the former in its attribution table and preserves the latter as separate source evidence; no reconciliation is inferred.
  • The selected 2025 balance sheet presents dollar symbols without a currency code; earlier annual extracted policy statements explicitly say Australian dollars. Packet currency metadata for 2025 is inconsistent, so the source table and policy statements govern the displayed AUD classification.
  • FY2024 plant and equipment differs by one dollar between its current-year statement and the FY2025 comparative; the current-year FY2024 amount is displayed.
  • The selected FY2024 Mineral Resource classification table does not name its project or effective date. Its values are shown without assigning them to Resurgent or Horizon.
