ASX: DYL · Five-year financial review

(ASX: DYL) Deep Yellow Financial Review - FY2022~26

Deep Yellow’s FY2022-FY2026 record moves from a smaller explorer to a larger uranium-development group after the Vimy acquisition. Strong financing, deposit movements and impairment reversals explain the accounts more directly than any assumption of current uranium production.

Five years in context

The August 2022 Vimy acquisition added Australian projects and a substantial asset base. It was accounted for as an asset acquisition using shares, so the jump in assets is not simply five years of cash exploration spending.

At the FY2026 report date Tumas still had no final investment decision. Engineering and early works progress is development activity, not evidence that future study production or revenue has already been achieved.

Events behind the numbers

FY2022

Cash funded preparation

Net financing exceeded operating and investing outflows, supporting the pre-merger cash base.

FY2023

Vimy expands the group

The August transaction adds Mulga Rock and Alligator River; comparability of the asset base changes.

FY2024

Large financing and deposit allocation

A major financing inflow supported the cash balance, with A$80m separately invested in term deposits.

FY2025

Tumas moves into construction assets

Exploration assets were reclassified and earlier impairment reversed. Term deposits matured back into cash.

FY2026

Development proceeds before FID

Early works and engineering advanced while FID remained conditional. Omahola impairment was reversed.

FINANCIAL REVIEW / 01

A larger balance sheet with a development boundary

The cash balance fell in FY2026 as investment outflows exceeded new financing. The enlarged exploration and construction base should not be read as immediately available cash or as a market valuation.

FY2022 equity uses the FY2023 comparative A$115.177m rather than the conflicting original extraction A$115.117m. The Vimy acquisition materially changes the group from FY2023.

Cash equivalents exclude the separate A$80m term-deposit investment in FY2024. Its maturity in FY2025 changes cash classification, not total wealth by itself.

FINANCIAL REVIEW / 02

Deposit maturity is not operating revenue

FY2025 positive investing cash is strongly affected by the A$80m deposit return, while interest receipts supported positive operating cash. In FY2026 operating cash was negative despite a positive statutory profit.

FINANCIAL REVIEW / 03

Reversals and reclassification explain accounting growth

FY2025 Tumas and FY2026 Omahola reversals are separate accounting events. The Tumas construction balance also reflects a transfer from exploration; counting both as new investment would double count that transfer.
